A WEEK OF WINS BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD

A week of Wins at

St. Rose High School

It has been quite the week at St. Rose High School with wins both on and off the court. If this first week of the second quarter is any sign of how the next few months will go then it is going to be amazing! From our Boys Cross Country Non-Public B Championship and the well fought seasons for Field Hockey and Boys Soccer athletics is on top this Fall. Thank you to all of our athletes, their coaches, and all of the supporters, fans, and members of the Belmar Zoo whose energy even impressed Saturday's Boys Soccer commentators. Enjoy this week's Run Down as we celebrate Fall Athletics, recognize the athletes who have already signed with a Division 1 school, religion students gathering items for our Thanksgiving Food Drive, and our Pipe and Drum Band and choir for their moving performance to honor our Veteran's on Friday. We also look ahead to a week filled with a few parent only events, student field trips over three states, and the start of Winter Uniforms!

Veteran's Day

Remembrance Ceremony

On Friday, November 11th, at the flag pole in front of our Armed Forces student built memorial, St. Rose High School held a Veteran's Day Remembrance Ceremony. Led by the Pipe and Drum Band students marched in with the flags representing each division of the United States Military. Our prayers and the music from the choir helped to center us as Mr. Dougherty read the names of St. Rose alumni, faculty, and family who are all Veterans. We encourage you to watch the livestream from Friday's event and may God bless America.

Thank you fall coaches

As student athletes, coaches make up a pretty big part of our careers. Not only do our coaches teach us about our sport, but life lessons like leadership, teamwork, accountability, and punctuality. These lessons stay with us for life, even after our time in the sport is over.

It was a winning Fall Season

Congrats to all of our athletes

Thank you Coaching Staff

and our supporters in the Zoo!

volleyball charity game

Our second annual Varsity Girls vs. Senior Boys Charity Volleyball game was in full swing on Friday afternoon. Like last year, the cause hit close to home. This years game, organized by Grace Toscano helped to raise money for the Alexa De La Torre Foundation. The Alexa De La Torre Foundation is a foundation in the memory of Alexa Danielle De La Torre and supports academic and volleyball scholarships. Alexa Danielle De LaTorre was born on March 23, 1999 and passed away suddenly on August 6, 2015 at the young age of 16. Alexa's father, Mario De La Torre is St. Rose's Girls Volleyball's Assistant Coach. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event and to the senior boys for giving it their best shot! But, the Varsity Girls won!
