“Advent increases our hope, a hope which does not disappoint. The Lord never lets us down.” - Pope Francis

Advent Season is a very special time of year that sometimes gets lost in the bright lights of the Christmas season it precedes. The first day of Advent is the first day of a new Liturgical (or church) calendar and begins a four week period of preparation in anticipation of the nativity of Jesus at Christmas. The Advent Season is all about reflecting on how we can prepare our hearts and homes for Christ’s birth in the world as it is today. The Advent season invites us to step away from what can be a frenzied time of parties and shopping to consider how we commemorate the birth of Jesus, one of the holiest times in Christian faith. It is also a time to reflect on the triumphant return of Jesus at the second coming. At. St. Rose High School we will remember the birth of Jesus through prayer, reflections, special music, good deeds, and time with one another celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. May God bless you and your families during this Advent season.

Hello St. Rose Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. The PTA is sponsoring two events this week. The first event is our Sip and Shop event at Bungalow Road in Avon on Thursday, December 1st from 5pm to 8pm. Do some Christmas shopping while enjoying wine and cheese. Bungalow Road has some great gifts for everyone. The PTA will receive a % of all St. Rose High School sales. Hope to see you there.

The next event is Our Annual Fall Clothing Drive. This event is Saturday, December 3rd from 8am-10am in the Church parking lot. The clothing does get distributed to people in need and the PTA will earn money based upon the weight of all donations. It's a great time to clean out those closets. Thank you for your support. Have a great week.

All the best,
