There is no PTA meeting in December. The next meeting is January 3, 2023.
The holidays are coming, and the SRHS Arts Council’s latest fundraiser is one you don’t want to miss. In honor of our unique arts programs we are raffling off three new iPads in the new vibrant colors - yellow, blue, and pink.
One of each color represents the three excellent arts programs: yellow for the music department, pink for the art department, and blue for the theatre department. This fundraiser will help the
St. Rose Arts Council raise funds for the upcoming art program events, including the winter concert, art showcase, and spring musical Les Miserables. Your support will help fund our art department for this coming year!
Tickets are $10 each,
or 3 tickets for $25.
Each ticket gives you 3 chances to win.
The drawing will be held
on December 21, 2022, at the Winter Concert.

A Look Back
Highlighting a few events from the past week
sister billie bess
Sister Billie Bess, a Sister of Saint Joseph and a beloved teacher at St. Rose High School in the 1940’s and 1950’s has been helping us raise money. Over the past few months she has visited staff classrooms and offices staring down anyone in her eyesight. The only way to keep her moving is to "donate" pay her ransom. In the past few weeks she has been very busy...
Mr. Falcone
Sister Billie Bess is back from her Thanksgiving break. She spent the holiday at Mr. Falcone's classroom. After a festive stare down Mr. Falcone paid the ransom and taught Sister the periodic table. Mr. Falcone's Sisters of St. Joseph fact is: The Sisters of St. Joseph are active in 50 countries.
Ms. d'amico
Sister Billie Bess is making up for her time off last week. She visited Ms. D'Amico's classroom and after a very brief, but intense, stare down she was able to convince Ms. D'Amico to pay the ransom. Ms. D'Amico's Sisters of St. Joseph fact is: The purpose of the Sisters of St. Joseph is to live and work so that all people may be united with God and with one another.
mr. holleran
Sister Billie Bess was at it again...this time she visited Mr. Holleran's class and had a stare down. Since she was not wearing her lab glasses, Mr. Holleran quickly paid the ransom. His Sister of St. Joseph fact is: The Sisters of Saint Joseph were founded in France in 1650. Where will Sister Billie Bess visit next?

mr. bonelli
Sister Billie Bess spent time watching the World Cup and engaging in our history curriculum. She caught the Portugal v South Korea World Cup action at Flex/Lunch, then listened intently during a group activity on Thomas Jefferson in US I, and offered some supportive glances during a discussion about European Maritime Empires in AP World. It was a busy visit before her ransom was paid to the Advancement Department.
Thank you to our guest speakers for sharing your expertise and passion with our students. Kudos to the teachers for expanding the walls of your classroom.

GUEST SPEAKER SERIES
Our very own Mrs. Dries, from our Marketing & Communications team stopped by our Digital Arts/Media class to share her story of becoming a graphic designer. Mrs. Dries' experience in the private, public, and government sectors allowed her to give students a good understanding of how digital media has evolved and the role a graphic designer plays from concept to finished product.
Mr. Attardo's accounting class welcomed St. Rose parent and Alumni 88’ Mrs. Lisa Clayton who shared her experience and knowledge in the financial sector. Many students don't understand the broad range of organizations that hire accountants, which includes financial firms and agencies such as the CIA and FBI. There are many opportunities beyond just preparing financial statement for accountants.
Faces around St. Rose
Some of the Sisters of St. Joseph joined our students and Principal for lunch after mass on Friday. What a lovely time together!
The handsome fellows on the left who participated in "No Shave November" are being photographed on the final day of the month.
Thank you for your support of men's health.
